Tomato paste and spices

Cook the onion

Saute the onion in olive oil until golden. Add in the rice and stir.

Add the spices

Add the spices and tomato paste. Stir to combine.

Add water

Add the water and cook for a few minutes until water is absorbed.

Add pine nuts

Add pine nuts and parsley to the mixture. Turn the heat off.

Stuff the grape leaves

Place 1 tbsp of the mixture on the grape leaf and roll tightly.

Cook the dolmas

Layer the dolmas on top on each other and add water and oil. Cook over medium heat.

Serve with some  yogurt.

These dolmas are so delicious! I love Mediterranean food and this is one of my new favorites!
