Easy Braised  Lamb Shanks

Ingredients

Season and sear the lamb shanks until brown on all sides. 

Saute onion, garlic, carrots and celery in olive oil until golden. 

Add tomato paste and pomegranate molasses to the vegetables. 

Add cinnamon and cardamom pods. 

Add in the lamb shanks and water.   Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 hours until the lamb is tender and falls off the bone. 

Serve with rice, potatoes or risotto.
