What you need

The meat sauce

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Saute onion until soft and translucent.

Add the minced garlic and cook for a minute.

Add in the tomato paste and saute for a minute. Add in the ground beef and lamb.

Add in the spices and cook for a couple of minutes.

Add a can of diced tomatoes and stir to combine.

Add the water and bay leaf. Cook for 30 minutes.

Melt the butter and cook the flour for a few minutes. Add in the milk and bring to simmer.

Add in the parmesan cheese and the eggs. Whisk to combine.

To the cooked pasta add olive oil, parmesan cheese and eggs.

Add the chopped parsley and mix to combine.

Assemble

Transfer the pasta into a baking dish.

Top with the meat sauce and smoothen it.

Add the bechamel sauce.

Bake in the oven

Top with parmesan cheese and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.

Cool and serve

Let it cool for 10 minutes and then slice.
