Healthy Banana Bread With Applesauce

I love the addition of applesauce to this bread. It makes for such a moist and delicious loaf!

Use up ripe bananas! 

To make a delicious banana bread, you need bananas that have turned brown or have brown spots and are completely ripe.

Wet ingredients

In a bowl mix mashed bananas with sugar. Then add the eggs one at a time followed by vanilla

Dry Ingredients

Mix in the yogurt and then add the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and baking soda. Fold in the walnuts. 

Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes until it's golden brown.

Is the bread ready?

The banana bread is fully cooked and ready when a toothpick inserted in the bread comes out clean.

Let the banana bread cool completely before slicing it.
