Lebanese Rice & Vermicelli
Butter or ghee
Toast the vermicelli
In a large pot, heat the butter or ghee and toast the vermicelli until golden brown.
Add the rice
Add the rice to the vermicelli and cook for a few minutes.
Add the water
Add the water and salt. Bring to a simmer and cook until the water in evaporated. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Fluff the rice
Turn the heat off and let the rice sit for a few minutes. Fluff using a fork.
Top Lebanese rice with pine nuts and parsley.
I love this rice! It's such a delicious side dish to grilled chicken or beef.
