Turkish Simit


– Instant yeast –  Salt and sugar – All purpose flour – Water – Vegetable oil – Grape molasses (or honey)  – Water  – Sesame seeds

Mix  the dough ingredients together and knead until no longer sticky.

Cover and let the dough rise for 90 minutes until double in size.

Divide into 16 pieces and roll them into tubes.

Twist the dough tubes and pinch the ends to make a ring. Dip them in molasses and water, then in sesame seeds. Let rise for 20 minutes.

Bake them in the oven at 400F for 15 minutes.
