Persian Walnut filled pastries


Make the dough using vegetable oil, egg yolks, powdered sugar, yogurt and flour. Knead the dough and let it rest for 2 hours. 

Make the filling with chopped walnuts. Roll out the dough and cut out circles and top each with the filling. 

Pinch and fold each pastry and brush with egg wash. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. 

Roll the pastries in powdered sugar and serve on a platter.
