Mushroom Gravy with Cooking Wine

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 6 oz mushrooms sliced
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Holland House white cooking wine
  • 1 ½ cup vegetable stock

Instructions

  • Place a pan over medium heat and melt the butter in the pan. 
  • Add in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft and brown. 
  • Add in rosemary and garlic. Cook for another 2-5 minutes. 
  • Add in flour and stir well. Cook for a minute. 
  • Add in Holland House white cooking wine and stir well. 
  • Add in vegetable stock and stir well. Bring to simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the mushroom gravy thickens, turn the heat off and serve the gravy.
