Persian Kotlet (Meat Patties)
Turmeric, black pepper and salt
All purpose flour
Mix the ingredients
Grate the onion and potato. Discard the excess liquid. Place all the ingredients in a bowl.
Mix to combine
Mix all the ingredients and make sure all is well combined.
Shape and fry
Shape the patties and place in a pan to fry.
Flip and cook
Fry for about 5 minutes on each side to cook completely.
Fry the potatoes
Slice and fry the potatoes to go with the patties.
Serve with French fries, pickles and tomatoes.
I love that these can be made easily with ingredients I already have in my pantry and they are Persian! It's so fun to explore new cultures and their foods. This one looks pretty tasty and it has potatoes!
