Date Coffee Smoothie

A two-in-one morning pick-me-up drink that combines your favorite instant coffee with sweet dates and other great energizing and filling ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 Banana
  • 4 Medjool dates pitted
  • 2 tsp Chia seeds
  • 2 tsp Flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Instant coffee
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Ice

Instructions

  • Place the banana, pitted dates, chia seeds, flax seeds, tahini, instant coffee, milk and ice in a blender.
  • Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute until all the ingredients are completely blended and you have a smooth mixture.
  • Serve immediately.

Pre-soak Dates: To ensure the dates blend smoothly, soak them in warm water for 10-15 minutes before blending. This softens them and makes them easier to incorporate, resulting in a smoother texture.
Freeze Banana Slices: For a thicker and creamier smoothie, freeze banana slices beforehand. Frozen bananas add a frosty texture and eliminate the need for extra ice, enhancing the overall consistency of the drink.
Adjust Coffee Strength: Tailor the intensity of the coffee flavor to your preference by adjusting the amount of instant coffee used. Start with the recommended quantity and add more for a stronger coffee taste or less for a milder flavor profile.
Experiment with Milk Varieties: Explore different types of milk, such as almond milk, coconut milk, or oat milk, to customize the flavor and nutritional profile of the smoothie.
