Air Fryer Salmon.

I love cooking with salmon and we usually have it a few times a month. It’s such a tasty fish that can be cooked using many different methods; most commonly, salmon is either baked, broiled, or grilled. This air fryer salmon is one of my favorite dinners that’s quick and gives you tender, flaky fish every time. It’s served with a lemon dill sauce that’s so easy to make and results in a delightfully tangy taste.

Why Should I Cook Salmon In Air Fryer?

  • Easy: Using Cosori TurboBlaze Air Fryer makes this recipe a breeze. A novice cook can put this simple salmon together in a fraction of the time other methods require, using just a handful of ingredients. Bonus: the air fryer is also very easy to clean!
  • Quick: While some other approaches may take up to 30 minutes, air fryer salmon is ready in only 10 minutes, making it the perfect weeknight meal for busy days.
  • Texture: Salmon prepared in an air fryer results in flaky and tender fish with a crispy exterior that’s perfectly cooked.
  • Healthy: With only a tablespoon of oil used to cook the fish, air fryer cooking is a healthier approach compared to frying in a pan.

For this recipe you need salmon, spices, shallots, capers, olive oil, garlic, lemon and dill.

Ingredients

Air Fryer Salmon

  • Salmon: You can use fresh or frozen salmon for this recipe. If using frozen, make sure it’s completely thawed. Any kind of salmon will work including king, sockeye or coho.
  • Olive oil: Extra virgin olive oil works best for this recipe.
  • Spices: Use a combination of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and cumin.

Lemon Dill Sauce

  • Olive oil: You need just a couple of tablespoons extra virgin olive oil to make the sauce.
  • Shallots: Shallots add a lot of flavor to the sauce, they are lighter than onions and won’t overpower the other flavors.
  • Garlic: Depending on your love for garlic, use 2 to 4 cloves.
  • Crushed red pepper: This is optional and adds a bit of a kick to the sauce.
  • Capers: Briny capers add a lot of flavor to this sauce, it’s best to chop them before adding to the sauce.
  • Dill: Fresh dill works best for this sauce and adds freshness.
  • Lemon: I strongly recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice to make this sauce.

How To Make Air Fryer Salmon

Step 1: Prepare The Fish

Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil. Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and cumin in a small bowl. Top the salmon fillets with the spice mix.

Place the salmon fillets on the crisper plate and cook in the Cosori TurboBlaze Air Fryer for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Step 3: Make The Sauce

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium high heat. Sauté the shallots for 5 minutes until light and pink. Add in the garlic and cook for a minute. Add the chili pepper followed by the capers and dill. Finish with freshly squeezed lemon juice and add 2 to 4 tablespoons of water to thin out the sauce.

Make the sauce.

Step 4: Serve

Place the air fried salmon fillets on a platter. Top with the lemon garlic sauce and serve immediately.

Top the salmon with the sauce.

Serving Suggestions

This air fried salmon makes such a quick and easy meal that you can serve with a variety of side dishes. You can whip up a quick tahini salad or Turkish white bean salad. We also enjoy serving this salmon dinner with dill rice, Greek lemon rice or Greek potatoes.

Leftovers and Reheating

Store the leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. You can reheat the salmon in the air fryer as well. I don’t recommend freezing the salmon after it’s cooked since the texture and flavor might change.
