I'm not a big fan of the ones made with strawberry flavored syrup. I like it real, with chunks of fruit that burst with flavor. Strawberry ice cream might work - though I'm not sure if I can cope with the guilt afterwards. That's why I love out healthy strawberry milkshake recipe for any time of the day!

If you're a big fan of healthy milkshake, check out my Healthy Milkshake Recipe without Ice Cream they're perfect for any healthy milkshake lover!

Can you make a strawberry milkshake without ice cream?

Why yes you can. All you need to do is use frozen bananas instead of ice cream to make a healthy milkshake full of delicious fruit. Using frozen bananas will make the milkshake creamy, thick and sweet without any added sugar.

This healthy milkshake is very simple and easy. Bananas are used instead of ice cream.

How to make healthy strawberry milkshake recipe

Start with cutting bananas into chunks and put them in a ziploc bag. Place the bag in the freezer for at least one hour. Once the bananas are frozen, put them in a blender with strawberries and any kind of milk or plain yogurt. You can use almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk, Greek yogurt or other kind of milk you prefer. Then blend for almost forty five seconds until it's ready and creamy. Serve immediately and enjoy.

this strawberry milkshake recipe is healthy as it has no ice cream.

What makes this strawberry milkshake healthy?

This is our favorite strawberry milkshake recipe as it's light and healthy because it has:

    • No sugar
    • No ice cream -  Frozen banana and strawberries make this milkshake frothy enough that there wouldn't be a need to use ice cream!
    • Loads of fruit!

Of course you can sweeten it more if you want (I suggest adding honey), I usually prefer to keep it as is but I'm sue it'll be totally delicious with some honey or maple syrup.

Enjoy everyday the most and be happy!

Yummy! I may try this but use coconut milk instead - so that it is dairy free as well! 🙂 Love the strawberry-banana combo. Can't go wrong!
