Is there anyone who doesn’t like strawberry milkshake that is made with REAL strawberries?
I’m not a big fan of the ones made with strawberry flavored syrup. I like it real, with chunks of fruit that burst with flavor. Strawberry ice cream might work – though I’m not sure if I can cope with the guilt afterwards. That’s why I love out healthy strawberry milkshake for any time of the day!
Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? Are you going to have a cozy evening or are you going out to a fancy restaurant? I know what we are going to do. See, we are sorta different, to me Valentine is not solely about being with my significant other (because I want to be with him all the time, no specific day needed) but it’s about being with people we love so much, people who are everything to us and mean the world to us. This year we are lucky enough to have my parents with us on Valentine’s Day. That may seem weird to you, but to a person like me who puts family ahead of everything it’s the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day!
So, this healthy strawberry milkshake – what makes it healthy?
2-No ice cream – Frozen banana and strawberries make this milkshake frothy enough that there wouldn’t be a need to use ice cream!
3- Low fat milk
4- Full of fruit
Of course you can sweeten it more if you want (I suggest adding honey) and you can use whole milk. To many that will sound more delicious and it does sometimes to me, too – but not on a day that I know I’ll be eating super duper delicious food all day long such as Valentine’s Day! I mean, we will start with these healthy strawberry milkshakes in the morning, then some midday snacks (It’s love’s day, you can eat whatever, the calories won’t count) and then a scrumptious lunch (I hope my maman makes my favorite dish!), then a wonderful early dinner and then THE DESSERT! And some movies and happy moments spent with people that I love the most!

- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- 10 strawberries, frozen
- 1 cup milk (I used non-fat)
- In a blender, blend all the ingredients until strawberries are broken and the milkshake is frothy and thick.
- Enjoy your healthy strawberry milkshake!
